Major developers including Adani, Reliance-linked entities, Lodha and JSW have submitted bids for MHADA-led cluster redevelopment projects spanning about 206 acres across Mumbai. The projects cover Adarsh Nagar in Worli, the Bandra Reclamation, and SVP Nagar in Andheri West.
The Bandra Reclamation parcel is the largest at about 98 acres, followed by SVP Nagar in Andheri West at nearly 74 acres and Adarsh Nagar in Worli at about 34 acres. MHADA had floated tenders to appoint construction and development agencies, with bids opened after the submission deadline.
The contest brings some of the country's biggest developers into competition for prime redevelopment in supply-starved Mumbai. The scale of the projects underscores the growing role of large players in the city's complex cluster redevelopment landscape.
