Developers Pay Regularisation Charges After BMC Issues Stop-Work Notice

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has recovered about ₹1.47 crore in regularisation charges from a developer after issuing a stop-work notice for construction beyond the permitted floors at a project in the Agripada area.
The action reflects tighter civic scrutiny of floor-space compliance in the island city, where unauthorised additions can trigger stop-work orders and penalty charges before work is allowed to resume.
