The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) plans to complete a structural audit of 1,000 cessed buildings in Mumbai by March 2025 as part of a state 100-day action plan.
Auditing ageing cessed buildings is a key step toward prioritising repairs and redevelopment in the island city, where many old structures pose safety risks during the monsoon.
