Amitabh Bachchan buys three more Oshiwara offices for about ₹60 crore

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has expanded his real estate portfolio with the acquisition of three more office properties in the Oshiwara locality of Mumbai’s Andheri suburb, for nearly Rs 60 crore. This purchase adds to his existing ownership of four offices in the same commercial tower, totaling over 12,000 sq ft of built-up area and 10,800 sq ft of carpet area.
In September, ET reported that Bachchan had acquired an entire floor in the tower and leased it to Warner Music India under a long-term five-year agreement. The new office spaces, spanning 8,429 sq ft of carpet area, are situated on the 27th, 28th, and 29th floors of the ready-to-move commercial tower. The deal also includes exclusive access to three car parking slots. Amitabh Bachchan paid over Rs 3.57 crore in stamp duty for the registration of the deal, which was finalized on June 20.
In addition to his commercial investments, Bachchan has recently acquired a land parcel from the House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) in Alibaug to build a luxury villa. In January, he purchased another plot in a 7-star mixed-use development near the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya for constructing a house. The Bachchan family owns several properties in Mumbai. Recently, Amitabh and his wife Jaya gifted their lavish bungalow, Prateeksha, in Juhu to their daughter Shweta Nanda, formalizing the transfer through two distinct gift deeds.
The Bachchan family's real estate activities are part of a broader trend among Bollywood celebrities investing in high-end properties. Recently, Abhishek Bachchan bought six apartments in a premium residential project in Borivali for Rs 15.42 crore. Other Bollywood figures such as Kartik Aryan, Sara Ali Khan, Amrita Singh, Ajay Devgan, and Kajol have also invested in the same commercial tower in Oshiwara.
